This resort project located on the shore of the La Mer Island in Dubai. The project is divided into 2 hotels, one city business and the other a luxury resort hotel. With both components encompassing over 600 keys with multiple speciality restaurants and an events conference centre for over 1000 people.
WME carried out full engineering under the lead architect. The project allowed for early release of an enabling works package. The structure allows for column-free open areas on the ground floor and function areas. The infinity pool cantilevers over both hotels and a unique feature of this modern beach resort. The MEP allows for a central utility courtyard to service all of the areas from a remote location and allows for modular systems to vary the load across the plot for occupancy and seasonal requirements Although there is no formal sustainable rating, the project has been designed with LEED silver benchmarks.
