“Transparency, consistency and responsiveness across all design team members are the major key elements to overcome today’s challenges of producing a high-quality product while being sensitive to accelerated project timelines and budgets.”

Kenneth Heney
BEng (Hons) CEng MIET
Technical Director – MEP
Technical Director Kenneth Heney brings more than 16 years’ experience in engineering design, project management and team leadership to his work at WME UAE. He leads our team of electrical engineers, focusing on building strong client relationships and continuous improvement in service delivery.
A problem solver by nature, and with a strong sense of commitment — as evidenced by his involvement as a competitor in international triathlon events — Kenneth sees the process of delivering an engineering project as the biggest area of constructive change in the industry at the moment. He actively works to progress the collaborative working that leads to better integrated buildings: through the way he supports client objectives, his expertise in delivering a project and the skilled way in which he leads his team in WME’s multi-disciplinary environment.
Kenneth trained in the UK in electronic and electrical engineering, relocating to the Middle East region in 2012. He has worked for several leading engineering consultancies in design and management roles, and delivered projects in the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Before moving to the region, he worked in the UK on high profile projects, including a village-scale retail development and Wilkinson Eyre’s award-winning Bridge of Aspiration for the the Royal Ballet School.
At WME he is active in the mentoring and training schemes we have in place. He is a strong believer in continuous learning, and in the positive effect of helping others learn.
