The existing Ramada Hotel building in Bur Dubai is being demolished to make way for two new towers that will also occupy an adjacent vacant site.

The combined development will include two basement level car parks and three podium levels, as well as the hotel tower and an 18-storey residential tower. WME is providing a full range of engineering services and acting as architect of record (AOR).

In compliance with the Dubai Green Building code, our building services engineers are focusing on the specification of air cooled chillers, as potable water cannot be used for cooling towers. Roof space to house the chillers is limited and affects architectural considerations, so care is being taken not to over-specify this plant and ensure its efficiency.
