Aldar’s mixed use mega-project constructed in Kazakhstan was completed in late 2016, in time for EXPO 2017, hosted by Astana.
The complex consists of five towers of varying heights over a retail podium and four levels of basement parking. The tallest tower is 75 floors. In all, the 500,000 sq m project deliver 90,000 sq m of commercial office space, over 100,000 sq m of retail, over 550 residential units and a 190-bed hotel.

WME’s engineers worked on several aspects of the project. Our building services engineers used building information modelling (BIM) on phase three, integrating the completed works of the two previous phases.

We also worked on the development of two further towers and the extension of an existing retail mall, which has been incorporated into the main plaza. The combined shopping zone required detailed services integration, particularly for extraction systems in common areas.
