The Graduate Program at WME is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in learning about designing a building.

Growing up in UAE, I became interested in the built environment and marveled at the iconic structures that were rapidly developing in the country. This led me towards studying Mechanical Engineering at Lancaster University after which I joined the WME Graduate program.
The Graduate Program at WME is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in learning about designing a building. I have had the chance to work on a wide array of projects ranging from high-rise, malls, schools and even waterparks. Each project has given me unique insight with its own challenges, acting as a catalyst for my career development and training.
The training and learning opportunities at WME are plentiful. The WME Graduate program has allowed me to rotate between various disciplines and lead my own development path guided by my passion. Through this program, I hope to achieve my main goals that are to develop an in-depth knowledge of building services, create efficiencies in workflows through various digital platforms and make a tangible difference to other people’s lives through the projects.
As for a “typical” day at WME, there is no such thing. Each day presents exciting new challenges that requires creative thinking and collaboration with engineers from all disciplines.

I believe the WME graduate program will be of immense value to my professional development.

I was always perplexed and awed by how civil and structural engineering is all around us! It’s in the water we drink, the bridges we drive on and the roller coasters we ride. I was intrigued by how intricate the design of structures is and the huge impact it has on the world we live in. Studying the subject at degree level at Newcastle University has only furthered and intensified my interests in this field.
I believe the WME graduate program will be of immense value to my professional development. Given the opportunity to work closely with an elite group of engineers across local and international projects will not only enrich me with knowledge and allow me to develop new skills that will aid towards making me a more successful engineer that is capable of handling various exciting challenges in my future career, but it will also help me gain direction on what sector of this interdisciplinary field I would like to peruse further.
The WME team has been extremely encouraging and nurturing. Having the opportunity to work in a very supportive environment has been very rewarding and I think it is the perfect place for me to overcome my limitations, reform my academic learning and progress in my professional career.
